Michael DiVirgilio, Veteran NYK Group/CTI Executive
Retires After 42 Years

East Brunswick, NJ –April-01-2014– Michael DiVirgilio, the veteran NYK Group/Ceres Terminals Incorporated (CTI) Executive retired April 1, 2014.

Prior to joining Ceres in 2006, Mr. DiVirgilio spent 35 years with NYK Line (North America) Inc. While building his career with NYK, he held many responsibilities. His most significant accomplishment was helpingto lead NYK from a branch office/agency structure to a fully, functional North America Region of NYK Line Tokyo in the late ‘80s. Mr. DiVirgilio’s career developed from Regional General Manager, Eastern Region to the corporate level as Senior Vice President, North America Sales. Later, as Senior Vice President of the Liner Trade Management Group,he was responsible for the Company's marketing and pricing policy including bottom line financial results, for the NYK Liner Trades in North America. Mr. DiVirgilio was appointed to the Board of NYK Line (North America) Inc. in 1998.

As Senior Vice President, Development of Ceres Terminals Incorporated since 2006, Mr. DiVirgilio was responsible for cultivating newbusiness and expansion opportunities for the Ceres Group’s North America Operations.

Mr. DiVirgilio began his career with Moore-McCormack Lines and has been an active participant in the wider industry serving on several boards. Currently, he serves as the President of the Containerization and Intermodal Institute, a member of the Board of Directors for the Maritime Association of the Port of New York and New Jersey and the Foreign CommerceClub of New York.
