Yusen Terminals/Ceres Terminals Incorporated is pleased to announce that Alan McCorkle has been named Vice President – West Coast Operations and will be responsible for overseeing all business operations for Yusen and Ceres businesses on the west coast. These operations will include the California businesses in Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland and Hueneme. Mr. McCorkle will also assume responsibilities for Ceres’ Vancouver, BC operations. Alan’s tenure with the company will be effective on Monday, November 3rd. He will be based in our Yusen Terminals facility in Los Angeles.
Mr. McCorkle brings over 25 years of industry knowledge to this very critical leadership role. Immediately prior to joining the company Alan held the role of Senior Vice President for APM Terminals Pacific in Los Angeles. In that role he was responsible for all terminal operations for APM’s 1.8 million TEU container terminal. Alan has also held progressively larger operational roles in many ports to include New Jersey; Long Beach, CA and Kingston, Jamaica. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a B.S in Business Management. Alan also attended Cornell University’s Executive Development Program in 2003.
As Vice President of YTI/CTI west coast operations, Alan assumes leadership of an experienced and effective leadership team. “Alan is uniquely situated to lead our west coast team in this time of unprecedented change in our industry.
